Woven insulation tapes

They are woven in plain and twill weaves, and one or both the selvedges can be reinforced – the so-called hems. They are produced in the widths of 10 – 60 mm and thicknesses from 0,08 up to 0,50 mm. In addition to their thickness, the most important factor is the class of thermal resistance, determined by the employed material. The insulating tapes are made of polyester and glass fibres, less often of cotton. Recently, special quartz and aramid fibres are employed. The insulating tapes serve for electric engineering purposes and heat insulation.
